If you are looking for new ways to protect your corn crop from pests and weeds, check out the latest offerings from NuTech. Vorceed™ Enlist® corn and PowerCore® Enlist® Refuge Advanced® corn traits feature multiple modes of action against insects and herbicide tolerances. These trait technologies are available in select hybrids as a part of an introductory launch for the 2024 season and will expand to a full range of products in 2025.
What You Should Know
Vorceed Enlist and PowerCore Enlist hybrids result from extensive research, development, and testing by NuTech and its partners. They are designed to enhance the performance of the existing Optimum® AcreMax® and Qrome® products for above and below-ground protection, respectively.
The mid-season launch will have proven performers like 66C2 and 70F6 with leading new germplasm.
Vorceed Enlist corn uses RNAi technology to suppress the expression of specific genes in corn rootworms, causing them to die when they feed on the plant. It also provides three modes of action against above-ground lepidopteran pests, such as corn earworm and fall armyworm. Additionally, it has four herbicide tolerances, allowing you to use Enlist® herbicides, Glyphosate, Glufosinate, and FOP herbicides for weed control.
PowerCore Enlist corn includes three proteins that form a pyramid of protection against insects. It targets corn rootworm, corn borer, corn earworm, and fall armyworm with different modes of action, reducing the risk of resistance development. It also has the same herbicide tolerance as Vorceed Enlist corn.
Both traits offer single-bag integrated refuge solutions, meaning you do not need to plant a separate refuge area for insect resistance management.
